From the fall of 2020 until the summer of 2021, I was booking sessions left and right. This was when my surf photography was really starting to take off and it was an absolute blast. Almost every time there was waves, I was out shooting someone or some group. It was actually crazy how many people were reaching out to me about taking photos of them, it was overwhelming.
One of the really clutch things about 2020-2021 was that all of my classes were still online due to the pandemic. Many of my professors kept the classes on zoom and half of them never actually met so I had ample free time to be on the beach shooting. It was also nice because I no longer needed to commute to campus so I ended up moving to Somers Point so I could easily get to the beach whenever I possibly could. I'm originally from Medford, and if you don't know where that is, it's basically in the middle of nowhere in the pine barrens. Think Wharton State Forest but a little closer to civilization. Living a 5 minute drive from the ocean was a game changer for me.
