Spent a lot of time during the summer of 2020 shooting in OC in the AM. While I'm a sucker for a nice sunrise, but shooting on the beach in this town is quite difficult, especially if your surfers are taking rights. I remember showing up on this morning, and the sunrise was stunning but shooting into the sun for the first 2 hours was brutal. I didn't get a single good image. I ended up heading to Oves for breakfast because I was getting frustrated and when I went back out a few hours later, I caught these few. The sun was at the perfect height for this surf spot at this time. I love the lighting and the crispness of the waves. These were some of my favorite AM shots in OC that summer.
