In the beginning of 2024, I made a promise to myself to invest in myself and my photography that year.
Sixteen year old me would be screaming if she knew a water housing was in our future. Investing in Aquatech housing for my camera wasn’t just a dream come true—it was a complete game changer for the kind of artwork I could finally create.
I’ve waited for this day for so long. I saved every penny this past year to buy this equipment, and I don’t think I’ve ever felt so accomplished—or so excited for what’s ahead. For my very first swim, I dragged my friend Liam (also a photographer) along and bribed him by offering myself up as his model for the day.
We drove to my beloved beach town, Strathmere, and spent a gorgeous June afternoon swimming, shooting, and experimenting with my new toy. At the time, I thought the photos were the coolest things ever. Looking back, I obviously had a lot to learn but that was part of the magic!
